Modularity

1. Creating the Modules
Use Adobe Illustrator to create FOUR modules you'll use as the building blocks of your typeface (B&W only).
Consider the variety of your modules. They must be flexible enough to help you build the entirety of the alphabet (consider curves, straight lines, intersecting lines, etc.).
Consider the scale relationships of your modules because they will not be altered throughout the typeface design process.
2. Creating the Typeface
Use your modules to build all 26 characters of the alphabet.
Include ampersand (&), at symbol (@), exclamation point (!), octothorp (#), hyphen (-), and period (.)
Your characters may be uppercase, lowercase, or a combination of both.
Design your letterforms in black-and-white only; no tints, shades, or opacities.
You may repeat, rotate, or reflect your modules but NOT scale, stretch, skew, or distort them.
3. Creating the Promotional Poster
Finally, create a promotional poster that displays the entirety of your typeface (any software of your choosing).
Your poster should display: 26 characters, punctuation, modules, pangram (i.e. a sentence that uses every letter of the alphabet).
You may use any kind of color palette or supporting graphics you like. Black-and-white is fine as well.
